Who we are

DCI aims to create a haven for children, one where they can discover and enhance their talents and gifts. We want to provide all children with the opportunity to contribute their unique visions and abilities towards improving their communities – and their own lives.

What we do

As change agents, we will achieve our vision through an intentional and purposeful approach that will incorporate the following: tri-annual camps, access to quality early childhood care, education, and life skills development training, as well as mentor-ship programs that work to promote equal opportunities for poor and vulnerable children.

Our vision

To positively transform the lives of children from impoverished communities by upholding their dignity through holistic child development programs

Support Children- COVID-19 Emergency Relief Support *URGENT NEED* Those who support us and follow our work know that we fundraise for our tri-annual camps, mentorship programs, football clubs, along with several other ongoing initiatives. While we have had to cancel our April children camp, and postpone all programs and activities due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, we have been called to action to respond to an urgent need. Today, DCI was notified that the children we work with at the Bewomi Children Home and in Tambaya Village, Nyeri County, Kenya, are currently lacking the food they need to survive, and the supplies they need to combat this pandemic, as the government has closed all schools and institutions in an effort to contain the virus. In response, we at DCI, are mobilizing and fundraising to get the essential food items, face masks, soap, and hand-washing containers our children need to get through these uncertain times. As Kenya airport is on a 30-day lockdown due to the rising cases of Covid-19, goods or products cannot be shipped into the country. As such, we are kindly asking for cash donations, so that we can obtain the items in-country and get them to where they are greatly needed as quickly as possible. Under the current circumstances, many children and families are struggling throughout the world, and we at DCI are committed to helping as many children as possible. We understand that most are dealing with financial strain, but any amount would make all the difference. Please, consider donating if you are able. To donate in Kenya, please send funds to Mpesa PayBill 247247 Account no. 1340264533522. To donate in the United States and internationally, please go to www.dignifiedchildreninternational.org, and select the donate online tab. (Please note, all funds donated in the USA are tax deductible, please provide a full name and address with the online donations so that DCI can issue a receipt). We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for helping us to do all we can for the children we serve. Online/Onsite 2020-04-07 2020-07-31 6 AM 5 PM N/A Ongoing
